I really enjoyed the field trip to the gorge because it looked really beautiful and scenic. It's amazing how water can erode and in a way mess Earth up, but still leave something nice and extremely valuable to be seen. It was incredible to see how many of the little fossils we saw near the end. I thought that was the coolest part and I wish we had more time to look for some more. Also how trace fossils, such as the dinosaur footprints, are preserved through thousands of years.. I had always asked my self that and the day of the field trip I finally learned that some plants(algae) and other biomatter stuff actually fill up the print and form a sort of mold, then after a long time, the bio stuff deteriorates and the shape of the print is left behind.
And it was a really nice workout(:
